5 Networking Organizations to Join in Westchester County

You’ve heard the expression a thousand times, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” Cliché? Yes. But true? Also yes.

Widening your circle is easy, thanks to some terrific networking organizations in the county.

Business Council of Westchester (BCW)

With a roster of over 1000 members, the BCW is the county’s largest business advocacy organization. Its reach is wide and includes businesses from every work sector in Westchester, plus some local branches of national brands. The organization hosts 80+ events each year, many of them around specific themes. Their marquee event, the Annual Signature Summer Soiree, is expected to draw more than 200 guests to the Larchmont Yacht Club on July 9. For the younger talent pool, the BCW’s 2025 Rising Stars—which honors 40 notable business pros under 40—takes place September 16 at Million Air’s facility in West Harrison.

Westchester County Association (WCA)

The mission-driven WCA focuses on developing and advancing policies and initiatives that foster regional economic growth. Both private and public sector pros can benefit from the group’s expertly written guides and handbooks. On September 12, the WCA will hold its Sustainable Business Conference: Profit and Purpose ’25 at Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, centered on how all businesses can adopt sustainable practices. Healthcare workers, consider Toasting to a Healthy Westchester at Tarrytown’s Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion on October 9. To finish the year strong, the WCA Fall Leadership Event & 75th Anniversary Celebration is slated for November 19 at New Rochelle’s Glen Island Harbour Club.

Nonprofit Westchester

Several hundred members strong, Nonprofit Westchester bills itself as the county’s only membership organization solely dedicated to advancing the interests of Westchester’s nonprofit sector. Those looking to connect with colleagues can join any one of the nonprofit’s many affinity groups, intended for people with a common identity, background, or interest, such as people of color, accountants, chief financial officers, or CEOs.

Ellevate Network

This global online community for professional women fosters meaningful relationships through meetups, digital mentoring, summits, and more. More locally, Ellevate has a Fairfield/Westchester branch boasting networking opportunities, such as a casual online Meet & Connect Session with women from the region as well as the broader Ellevate organization itself.

LinkedIn Local Hudson Valley

Led by its aptly named Local HV Brain Trust Board, this group hyper focuses on all things business in the HV. The leaders represent a wide cross-section of professional expertise and experiences, including real estate, banking, finance, marketing, and social media. A May event did a deep dive into “The Human Side of Business: Building Strong Foundations,” concentrating on trust and empathy. Look out for more programming along these lines.
