Scarsdale shoppers, you’re in luck! Local grocery chain DeCicco & Sons has announced the opening of Piccolino, a new market concept coming to town this summer. The store—named after the Italian word for “little one”—will feature a selection of specialty items, prepared foods, and grab-and-go options, carefully curated on a small scale.
The announcement shortly follows that of the company’s newest full-size grocery location, its first store in Fairfield County, Connecticut. DeCicco’s Greenwich is set to open later this spring.

What to Expect
Piccolino plans to be a “reimagining of what a neighborhood market could be,” said CEO John DeCicco in a statement. The market promises that shoppers won’t have to sacrifice nutrition and quality for convenience.
“We understand that today’s consumers want healthy, high-quality, and exceptional-tasting products, but they shouldn’t have to do all the research themselves,” partner Chris DeCicco added. “Our shoppers won’t have to cross-reference labels or check for quality ingredients because we have already curated the selection.”
A specific layout of Piccolino has yet to be announced, but its stock will feature prepared foods, a tonic bar, produce, and a meat department.
More details, including opening celebrations and store features, will be announced soon. Visit @deciccos and @piccolinomarket on Instagram for updates.
