Pet parents in Mount Kisco can now access increased care close to home, thanks to the opening of VCA Mount Kisco Veterinary Clinic at 657 Main Street. After serving the Mount Kisco community at its original location for more than four decades, VCA Mount Kisco expanded to a new 6,000-square-foot edifice just 1,000 feet away that offers an abundance of off-street parking for visitors. The facility celebrated its opening during a ribbon-cutting event on July 26 with Mount Kisco Mayor J. Michael Cindrich and Deputy Mayor Therese Flora.

Additionally, with its increased footprint, the new facility is able to provide more comprehensive care than ever before.
“Every detail of this new space was designed with our patients, clients, and associates in mind,” notes Erika Sanchez, the VCA Mount Kisco hospital manager.
The expanded clinic features eight exam rooms, including one with a motorized lift table for larger or less mobile pets. Dr. Jonathan Olsen, Mt. Kisco Veterinary Clinic’s medical director who has been at VCA since 2009, mentions that the treatment and holding areas have also increased in size and scope, allowing doctors to perform two dental procedures at the same time with upgraded radiograph and dental scaling units.

“We have invested in new anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and a surgical preparation area to ensure that every procedure can be as safe and efficient as possible,” Dr. Olsen notes.
A Forward-Thinking Approach
The new clinic expansion includes a total of five veterinarians, including Dr. Alexa Lipari, Dr. Jonathan Olsen, Dr. Bryan Cherry, Dr. Lori Gil, and Dr. Talia Coppens, offering the opportunity to have more late days, expanded weekend hours, and urgent care capabilities. Doctors have their own areas of interest and expertise to deliver comprehensive veterinary care. Additionally, the larger clinic space offers VCA Mount Kisco the opportunity to add more staff members in the future as it continues to grow.
